What if I'm interested in speaking, but not certain how to find my story?
As we prepare for the show, we will have many workshops where you'll get one-on-one guidance from our director, Rachel Moran, as well as group input from other speakers. Working together, we'll be able not only to help you find your story, but perfect it for the stage.
Can I apply even if I have stage fright?
Speaking on stage is no easy task, and we understand that it can be daunting especially for those who will be taking the stage for the first time. However, we have a series of workshops, games, and reflective exercises designed to help you get ready to take the stage and speak with confidence.
What if my story isn't good enough for the show?
Every women has a story to tell, and no matter what you think, you do have a story that will connect and inspire other women from Heart of Illinois. We invite you to apply and we will work with you to discover, craft, and perfect your story for the stage.
